Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical RN Lead for Oncology Services at St. Joseph Warren Hospital to coordinate patient care on a designated unit and lead the nursing team.

The role requires clinical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with physicians and staff to promote excellence in patient care. Responsibilities include scheduling, staff mentoring, safety and infection control, and active involvement in quality and performance improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to entering patient care setting)
• Certifications required based on the unit(s) that the leader oversees and the requirements for those specific units

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care on a designated unit in collaboration with the Clinical Manager
• Adjusts schedules and assignments to accommodate changes in acuity and resources
• Provides guidance, clinical support and oversees unit leadership in the absence of the unit leader
• Communicates effectively with patients and families regarding nursing interventions and plan of care
• Participates in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities
