Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking an experienced RN with oncology background to support clinic operations and clinical staff. This role partners with the Operations Manager and oversees daily operations in the infusion suite to ensure a safe, compassionate, and efficient patient environment.

You will manage chemotherapy inventory, assist physicians with procedures, mentor new staff, and uphold accurate EMR documentation to deliver high-quality cancer care across multiple clinics.

Qualifications

• RN with at least 2 years oncology experience or at least 1 year as an RN at Tennessee Oncology.
• ONS Chemotherapy – Immunotherapy certification required within 3 months of hire.
• OCN or ONCC certification required within 12 months; waiver may apply for >5 years oncology experience.
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required at hire or within 3 months.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist manager with staffing and clinic operations to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain chemotherapy inventory and support infusion suite activities.
• Perform clinical duties including procedures with physicians and assist lab staff when needed.
• Serve as a clinical preceptor to newly hired staff.
• Educate and train existing staff on new processes and standards.
• Review EMR documentation for accuracy before, during and after patient appointments.
• Assist with staff assignments and data entry into daily huddle dashboard; participate in committees.
