Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking a skilled RN to provide bedside care and participate in treatment planning across the patient’s cancer journey. You will coordinate with physicians and nurses to ensure safe delivery of therapies and symptom management, while supporting patients and families throughout their disease course.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to chemo administration standards, and thorough documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Current TN or compact state RN license.
• Minimum one-year RN experience in oncology or infusion settings.
• Current ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong knowledge of oncology treatments and patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care model.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs direct patient care, collaborating with other care providers and team members.
• Reviews/updates/verifies all patient data before and during each visit.
• Collaborates with physician to assess/treat symptoms related to disease and treatment.
• Performs telephone triage to assess patient concerns/needs.
• Starts peripheral IVs and manages central venous access devices.
