Job summary

American Oncology Partners, PA is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to support Messino Cancer Centers with chemotherapy preparation and medication dispensing. You will maintain inventory, monitor compliance, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure timely and accurate patient care.

Under supervision of licensed staff and per state regulations, you will handle samples, manage the Nucleus system, and assist with training.

Qualifications

Education per state regulations; PTCB Certification or registration as Pharmacy Technician required.
Minimum of three years’ healthcare experience, preferably in a clinical setting as a Pharmacy Technician.
Willingness to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings and training sessions.

Responsibilities

Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs under licensed supervision and in compliance with state regulations.
Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus dispensing system and ensure accurate dispensing and par-level management.
Review next-day orders with nursing staff to anticipate special medication needs.
Order, stock, and track medical supplies and medications; manage inventory and waste.
Maintain records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, biohazard waste, and related processes; ensure regulatory compliance.
Assist in training new technicians and nursing staff on chemotherapy preparation and workflows.
Support operations across multiple locations and participate in mandatory safety/OSHA training.
