Job summary

American Oncology Network is seeking a pharmacy technician to assist in chemotherapy preparation and dispensing at Messino Cancer Centers. The role requires working under licensed supervision, maintaining the Nucleus system, and coordinating with nursing and purchasing teams.

Candidates should have a PTCB certification or be registered as a Pharmacy Technician, with at least three years in healthcare. Travel to educational and training sessions is expected.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification or registration as Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinical setting as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings and training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs under licensed supervision and state regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus medication dispensing system and ensure accurate dispensing.
• Order, stock, and track medications and supplies to ensure inventory levels and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and representatives to support patient care and operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, OSHA standards, and organizational policies.
