Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a chemotherapy pharmacy technician to support the Infusion Center in Olympia Fields, IL. The role involves sterile and non-sterile compounding of hazardous drugs and working in the IV room to prepare oncology medications.

Schedule is Full Time Days, Mon-Fri with rotating start times around 7:00–7:30 am. Requires a high school diploma and 1 year of sterile compounding experience, along with state license and PTCB/chemo certification or eligibility.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of sterile compounding experience required.
• 3 years of related pharmacy experience preferred.
• NPTA Chemo Certification or similar required.
• State Pharmacy Technician License and Registration required (if required per state regulations).
• PTCB certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire (this requirement may be waived for current pharmacy students).

Responsabilidades

• The chemotherapy pharmacy technician is trained and proficient in sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques for handling hazardous drugs.
• Primarily works in the IV room compounding hazardous drug products for hospitals with significant oncology programs.

Formação académica

High school diploma or equivalent

1 year sterile compounding experience

3 years related pharmacy experience preferred

NPTA Chemo Certification or similar

State Pharmacy Technician License and Registration

PTCB certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
