Prime Healthcare SFIL Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy Services - Olympia Fields in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking a chemotherapy pharmacy technician to join the Infusion Center team. The role focuses on sterile and non-sterile compounding of hazardous drugs in the IV room for hospital oncology programs.

Full-time daytime schedule, Mon-Fri, with rotating start times; requires high school diploma, sterile compounding experience, NPTA chemo certification or equivalent, and PTCB licensure or pending.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of sterile compounding experience required.
• 3 years of related pharmacy experience preferred.
• NPTA Chemo Certification or similar required.
• State Pharmacy Technician License and Registration required (if required per state regulations).
• PTCB required or obtained within 6 months of hire date (this requirement may be waived for current pharmacy students enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy)

Responsibilities

The chemotherapy pharmacy technician is trained and proficient in the sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques required for the handling of hazardous drugs. The technician primarily works in the IV room compounding hazardous drug products for hospitals with significant oncology programs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High school diploma or equivalent required

2. 1 year of sterile compounding experience required

3. 3 years of related pharmacy experience preferred

4. National Pharmacy Technician Association (NPTA) Chemo Certification or similar required

5. State Pharmacy Technician License and Registration required (if required per state regulations)

6. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required or obtained within 6 months of hire date (this requirement may be waived for current pharmacy students enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy
