Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Pharmacy Technician in Olympia Fields, IL to assist pharmacists in daily operations and support inpatient and retail areas. The role includes IV/hazardous drug compounding, inventory management, and QA oversight, with training responsibilities for entry-level staff.

Required are a high school diploma, a state license/registration, and a CPhT credential, with at least 2 years of experience in the relevant practice area. A 340B background is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration is required.
• CPhT credential is required (may be waived for current pharmacy students).
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in the current practice area.
• PTCB-related certifications preferred (e.g., CSPT, Nonsterile Compounding, Inventory Management, Immunizations).

Responsibilities

• Assists the Pharmacist under supervision in daily Pharmacy operations.
• In inpatient areas, advanced technician roles include IV/hazardous drug compounding, inventory management, ADC replenishment, and technician training.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

2 years of pharmacy technician experience in the current practice area

PTCB certification or related certificates
