Prime Healthcare SFIL Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy Services - Olympia Fields in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking a chemotherapy pharmacy technician to join the Infusion Center team. The role focuses on sterile and non-sterile compounding of hazardous drugs in the IV room for hospital oncology programs.

Full-time daytime schedule, Mon-Fri, with rotating start times; requires high school diploma, sterile compounding experience, NPTA chemo certification or equivalent, and PTCB licensure or pending.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of sterile compounding experience required.
• 3 years of related pharmacy experience preferred.
• NPTA Chemo Certification or similar required.
• State Pharmacy Technician License and Registration required (if required per state regulations).
• PTCB required or obtained within 6 months of hire date (this requirement may be waived for current pharmacy students enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy)

Responsibilities

• The chemotherapy pharmacy technician is trained and proficient in the sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques required for the handling of hazardous drugs.
• The technician primarily works in the IV room compounding hazardous drug products for hospitals with significant oncology programs.
