RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Assistant Director to lead day-to-day operations at the Melchiorre Cancer Center in Livingston, NJ. You will partner with leadership to ensure safe, patient-centered care while driving growth and efficiency in the Cancer Center.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Management or Healthcare Administration, and 2 years of managerial experience in healthcare, with strong financial and people leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Two years of management experience.
• Healthcare or patient-care setting experience.
• Strong leadership with coaching and development skills.
• Ability to manage staffing, workflows, and budgets.
• Strong financial acumen within budgets.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and maintain relationships.
• Organizational skills and teamwork with physicians and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Cancer Center operations with director and leadership.
• Oversee Billing team and administrative/operational staff.
• Coach, provide feedback, and drive professional development.
• Evaluate workflows and improve quality, efficiency, and patient experience.
• Monitor budgets and manage resources within guidelines.
• Set goals and operational plans with leadership.
• Support regulatory and accreditation requirements and licenses.
• Promote collaboration among physicians, staff, and leadership.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• Support Cancer Center initiatives and projects.
