Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program or CNA coursework within past 24 months.
• CNA certification or prior CNA experience is required.
• At least one semester of nursing clinical experience; prior CNA work within past 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain unit supplies: stock nurse servers, clean instruments, order supplies, and chart preparation.
• Collect data on assigned patients and document accurately.
• Demonstrate competency in vital signs, glucose monitoring, intake and output.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Prepare patients for transportation and transport as needed.
• Take report from nurse at start of shift and perform hourly rounds.
