Job summary

OneOncology seeks a Medical Assistant (Oncology Nurse Navigation Support) to work with Nurse Navigators, coordinating diagnostic testing, treatment appointments, and follow-up care for oncology patients.

The role requires medical assisting training, EMR proficiency, and strong organizational and communication skills to reduce barriers and improve the patient experience in a fast-paced cancer care environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA) or certification eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nurse Navigators in coordinating diagnostic testing, consultations and treatments.
• Track patients through established care pathways to ensure timely progression.
• Conduct patient outreach related to appointments and follow-ups.
• Identify barriers to care and communicate them to the Nurse Navigator.
• Perform clerical duties to support navigational workflows and EMR accuracy.
• Collaborate with the care team to support efficient cancer center workflows.
