Job summary

The Covenant Health system seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. The role, full time 72 hours per pay period, Day Shift, provides direct patient care under RN supervision, assists with ADLs, and supports the care team in a busy oncology unit.

You will document care, monitor vital signs, promote safety, and communicate changes to the RN. Tennessee CNA certification or eligibility, CPR required, and hospital experience preferred are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Hospital experience and medical terminology are a plus.
• Must operate a computer and possess interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read with comprehension, write legibly, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and measurements.
• Encourage deep breathing and use incentive spirometry as prescribed.
• Ambulate patients and assist with transfers as needed.
• Provide morning/evening care including hygiene and dressing.
• Maintain safe, clean patient environment and document care.
• Assist with ostomy care and specimen collection as ordered.
• Report changes to the RN and participate in quality initiatives.
