Job summary

Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, part of Covenant Health, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist registered nurses in a cardiology unit. Night shift, full-time 72 hours per pay period, provides hands-on care, ADL support, and essential patient monitoring under RN supervision.

Ideal candidates have TN CNA certification or eligibility, CPR, and strong communication skills. Orientation will cover safety, infection control, and documentation in patient records.

Qualifications

• CNA duties and responsibilities as a direct patient caregiver
• CPR certification required; orientation may include recertification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Take and record vitals and intake-output measurements.
• Assist with ADLs and patient mobility.
• Provide morning/evening cares and basic bedside care.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean patient environment.
• Support proper infection control and standard precautions.
• Document patient records and communicate changes to RN.
• Assist with ostomy care, drains, and specimen collection when ordered.
