Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Specialty Medical Biller to support the revenue cycle by accuracy in inpatient and outpatient claims, high-cost medications, implants, and oncology procedures.

The role requires strong knowledge of medical billing, payer policies, and claims management, with the ability to resolve denials and ensure compliant, patient-centered service while supporting a world-renowned cancer program.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Business, or related field; 3 years of oncology medical billing experience preferred.
• High school diploma/GED with 5 years of oncology medical billing experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit inpatient and outpatient medical claims with complex billing requirements.
• Review documentation, coding, and charges to support accurate reimbursement for oncology services.
• Verify authorizations and ensure services meet payer requirements before submission.
• Investigate and appeal denied claims to recover revenue.
• Monitor payer policies to maintain compliance and billing accuracy.
• Handle patient and payer inquiries with professionalism and compassion.
• Collaborate with clinical, coding, and operational teams to optimize billing outcomes.
