Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dedicated oncology care team at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven. You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians within a multidisciplinary framework to optimize patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes education for patients and families, coordination of care across the disease trajectory, and providing psychosocial support within a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Active credentialing via Medical Staff appointment process is required.
• Licensure and certifications per position profile (NCCPA/CT PA license, ACLS/BLS as applicable).

Responsabilités

• Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management within an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with attending supervising physicians per state law and hospital policy.
• Obtain medical histories, perform exams, review tests, and formulate treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, resources, and discharge instructions.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families in a caring, professional manner.
