Job summary

Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinical team in the New Haven area. The role involves assessment, triage, and therapeutic management across inpatient, ambulatory, or outpatient settings, in collaboration with physicians and other specialists.

The NP/PA will educate patients, provide psychosocial support, document thoroughly, and participate in quality improvement and professional development activities within a large health system

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Active NP/PA license and board certification as applicable.
• Experience requirements: clinical working experience in the NP/PA role preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families about care and available resources; provide psychosocial support.
• Ensure proper documentation in line with hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient care; comply with regulatory standards.
• Engage in professional development, serve as a clinical resource, and participate in quality improvement projects.
