Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary care team in the New Haven area. The role emphasizes clinical care, patient-centered decision making, and collaboration with attending physicians across inpatient, ambulatory, and outpatient settings.

The NP/PA will perform histories, examinations, and order tests, develop treatment plans, and may assist in procedures within scope.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active PA-C or NP-APCN license/credential as applicable, with state licensure requirements and certifications.
• Experience in applying clinical knowledge within multidisciplinary teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, risks, and discharge instructions.
• Document accurately in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Support quality and safety initiatives and participate in clinical education and professional development.
