Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Solid Tumor team as an inpatient care provider. The role involves close collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and staff to manage hospital-based oncology care, including admissions, discharges, and care coordination.

The CUH Inpatient Solid Tumor APP will conduct histories and physicals, interpret labs and imaging, and participate in research protocols.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Licenses: NCCPA certification and TX PA-C license; current BLS/ACLS per UT Southwestern policy.
• Preferred: 1 year of relevant clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations.
• Develops and eval­uates patient plans of care with appropriate lab and imaging orders.
• Demonstrates proficiency in technical and procedural skills as appropriate.
• Provides management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
• Contributes to quality initiatives and clinical research protocols.
• Collaborates on research projects and applies evidence-based practices to patient care.
