Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the department's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive patient care in infusion center and ambulatory settings.
• Completes daily rounds; consults and pre-/post-treatment evaluations in the infusion center.
• Participates in ambulatory clinics and inpatient care of patients.
• Orders additional tests or consults per established guidelines in collaboration with faculty.
• Documents plan of care and communicates results in the medical record.
• Facilitates discharge planning and follow-up in coordination with the health care team.
