Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Iowa is seeking a part-time Acute Care RN for a 12-hour night shift. You will provide and direct safe, effective care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions, supervise staff, and collaborate with physicians and families to optimize outcomes.

The role requires an Iowa RN license (BSN preferred), BLS, and the ability to work telemetry when needed. You will adhere to safety, infection control, and Trinity Health standards while delivering compassionate,

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing is required.
BSN preferred.
Current Iowa RN license; Illinois license if working in IL.
BLS required.
ACLS required only if telemetry monitoring capabilities.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

Conducts an initial assessment to gather data.
Identifies patient problems and develops them into an outcome/goal-based plan of care.
Implements the outcome/goal-based plan of care.
Evaluates patient progress and revises the plan as needed.
Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes.
Demonstrates clinical competence.
Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable.
Provides age-appropriate care per unit needs.
Collects, analyzes, interprets and applies age-specific data.
Maintains safety and infection control policies.
