Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Iowa is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide and direct safe, effective patient care on a night shift unit. The role involves initial assessments, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Case Management and other professionals, documenting progress, and ensuring discharge planning and education are completed. Requires active RN licensure in Iowa and BLS, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Current Iowa RN license (Illinois license if working in IL) required.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.
• Must complete Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts an initial assessment to gather data.
• Identifies patient problems and develops an outcome/goal-based plan of care.
• Collaborates with other health care disciplines to plan interventions and patient outcomes/goals.
• Implements the plan of care including procedures, treatments and medications.
• Documents discharge instructions for patient and/or significant other and/or other care provider.
