Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access Specialty Scheduler to manage complex appointment coordination within the Oncology Clinic. The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and familiarity with medical terminology to ensure timely, well-coordinated patient care.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a healthcare call center or related setting, with HFMA CRCR certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED.
• Experience: 2 years in a call center, healthcare, and/or public health setting OR associate degree and one year of customer service relations experience.
• Certification: HFMA CRCR certification within 12 months of hire.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patients' appointments within the Oncology Clinic.
• Assist with complex scheduling including consultations, infusions, scans, labs, imaging, and biopsies.
• Collaborate with physicians' nurses and external facilities to ensure timely care.
• Understand Revenue Cycle and assist in maximizing reimbursement to OSF HealthCare.
