Job summary

Johnsonville is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to design and manage onboarding and training experiences for new members across the facility. You will be the primary contact for onboarding, ensuring safety, process knowledge and a positive, engaging start for every teammate.

You’ll collaborate with coaches and teams, track training progress, and contribute to cross-site Learning and Development projects while upholding Johnsonville’s culture and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Experience providing instruction to individuals and groups preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of training platforms such as Redzone.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming onboarding environment and a great member experience.
• Plan and facilitate onboarding and training for individuals or groups.
• Ensure new members have fundamentals to work safely and on the floor.
• Reinforce Safety, Food Safety, Johnsonville Way, and role requirements.
• Support the ongoing culture and training initiatives across the facility.
• Collaborate to develop standard work instructions for processes and audits.
• Monitor training progress and share regular updates with the Learning & Development Coordinator.
• Own the “Great First Day” program at your facility (PPE, Welcome Signs, Lockers).
• Contribute to network-wide Learning and Development projects.
• Support Reliability Excellence training as needed.
