Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an Analyst-level HR Operations Onboarding professional to support end-to-end onboarding, background checks, and data management across HR systems. You will coordinate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and vendors to ensure accurate, timely onboarding activities.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, discretion handling confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in HR Operations, onboarding, HR administration, recruiting operations, or a related HR function.
• Working knowledge of HR processes, principles, and practices.
• Experience with HR systems; experience with SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and cases effectively in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues and determine when escalation is appropriate.
• Strong written and verbal business communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding activities for new hires, including background checks and pre‑employment requirements.
• Administer HR data management tasks: data entry, review, validation, and reconciliation in HR systems.
• Review onboarding documentation for completeness and accuracy; follow up on outstanding requirements.
• Respond to inquiries from employees, candidates, HR partners, and other stakeholders about onboarding processes.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve onboarding issues and ensure timely completion.
• Identify onboarding issues or compliance concerns and escalate as needed.
• Maintain employee documentation and personnel records per procedures.
• Maintain onboarding trackers, records, and related documentation.
• Assist with reporting, data requests, reconciliations, and audit-related requests.
• Support compliance with internal policies and onboarding requirements.
• Update onboarding procedures and process documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and controls.
• Support HR transformation initiatives and cross-functional projects.
