Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Onboarding Specialist in Palo Alto, CA to ensure high-quality social and developmental experiences for new employees. You will manage and scale the onboarding program, lead design and evaluation of orientation initiatives, and partner with stakeholders to keep new hire information current.

Ideal candidates have strong organizational and communication skills, with 2+ years in onboarding or HR.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in onboarding, learning and development, human resources, or program management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Help manage and scale the company’s domestic onboarding program.
• Lead design, development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of orientation and onboarding programs with innovative strategies and tools.
• Partner with stakeholders across the company to update all new hire information for current company practices and policies.
• Develop and act on a deep understanding of internal onboarding-related systems (Workday, Jira, Greenhouse, etc.).
• Track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding programs, then develop and execute recommendations for program improvements.
• Assist in weekly orientation preparations.
• Provide outstanding service to our customers by responding in a timely manner to their questions.
• Identify and implement positive employee experiences to help new SpaceX employees adapt to company and team cultures quickly.
• Partner with HR leadership to create and implement onboarding-related resources for hiring managers and leaders.
