Job summary

Cognition is seeking a focused Onboarding Coordinator to own the new-hire onboarding experience from offer to first week. You will design the program, run the initial sessions, and ensure smooth latitude for travel, equipment, and access.

You’ll partner with Recruiting, IT, and managers to keep every handoff seamless and human-centered. You will monitor background checks, I-9 verification, and HR-system setup, while maintaining proactive communication with each new hire.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating onboarding from offer to first week.
• Ability to communicate clearly with new hires and internal teams.
• Proven track record improving onboarding checklists and handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding from offer acceptance through first week.
• Build onboarding program and first-week sessions.
• Coordinate background checks, I-9 verification, HR system setup, travel, laptop deliveries, and systems access.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, IT, managers, and office teams.
• Proactively check in with new hires to ensure needs are met and issues are resolved.
