Job summary

Cognition is hiring to own and optimize the onboarding experience for new hires, from offer acceptance through the first week. You will design sessions, coordinate background checks and IT setup, and ensure every new join starts smoothly with a warm, well-organized welcome.

You’ll work with Recruiting, IT, and office teams to make the process reliable, scalable, and personal, tracking progress and improving handoffs as Cognition grows.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR onboarding and new-hire processes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information securely.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding from offer to first week, ensuring a warm, organized start.
• Coordinate background checks, I-9 verification, HR system setup, travel, laptop deliveries, and access.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, IT, managers, and office teams; continuously improve checklists and handoffs.
