Job summary

Kiewit is seeking motivated HR professionals to join our Employee Experience team, a high-impact group focused on onboarding, offboarding, and employee experience programs. This Tier 2 role blends human connection with AI-assisted insights to deliver accurate HR support in a high-volume shared services environment.

Based in Omaha, NE or Lenexa, KS, this position requires in-office attendance Monday-Friday as part of our District Overview and HR Operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in HR, employee experience, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of HR processes, particularly onboarding, employee transitions, and offboarding; ability to learn and apply related policies, procedures, and service guidance.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills paired with relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead new hires through onboarding, from pre-start preparation through their first days, ensuring they feel welcomed, prepared, and inspired and continue ensuring their onboarding success through their first week of employment.
• Partner with hiring managers, HRBPs, and HR teams to clarify responsibilities, address process barriers, and support readiness for the employee’s start, including relevant logistics and required follow-up.
• Coordinate offboarding activities in a professional and supportive manner, helping managers and employees understand required steps, tracking completion, and routing exceptions to the appropriate owner.
• Apply listening tools, feedback loops, and data insights to improve the employee experience.
• Work across HR functions to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
• Use technology and AI-enhanced insights to personalize experiences and streamline delivery.
