At the Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA), we are a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting service members, veterans, and military spouses in advancing their careers in project management.
As an Onboarding Coordinator, you will play a critical role in guiding new volunteers from application to placement. Your work will help ensure every candidate receives timely communication, a positive first impression, and a successful start within our organization.

Commitment: ~3-5 Hours/Week
Reports To: Volunteer Program Manager
Alternative Reporting: Chief Volunteer Officer
You will focus on managing volunteer intake, onboarding logistics, and ensuring a professional and organized experience for incoming volunteers.
Organized & Detail-Oriented
You can manage multiple applicants, timelines, and follow-up tasks accurately.
Strong Communicator
Able to send clear, warm, and professional communications.
Reliable & Proactive
You follow through, stay organized, and anticipate next steps.
Tech-Savvy
Comfortable using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, shared drives, or tracking systems.
Mission-Driven
Passionate about supporting veterans, service members, and military spouses.
Help create a welcoming and professional experience for volunteers serving the veteran community.
