MMC Group is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Onboarding & Compliance Representative to support the employee onboarding lifecycle across multiple client programs and a multi-state workforce.
This position will monitor automated onboarding workflows, coordinate pre-employment screenings, support Form I-9 compliance, and resolve incomplete or exception-based onboarding requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple technology platforms, managing competing deadlines, and handling confidential employee information in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor new-hire onboarding activity from initiation through final clearance
- Oversee automated workflows and ensure required forms, notifications, and tasks are completed
- Review dashboards and reports to identify incomplete, overdue, or failed processes
- Resolve onboarding exceptions and troubleshoot system-related issues
- Initiate and track background checks and drug screenings
- Follow up with candidates, vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding outstanding requirements
- Monitor timely completion of Form I-9 requirements
- Review I-9 documentation and workflows for completeness and accuracy
- Track reverifications and expiring employment authorization documents
- Support E-Verify processes when applicable
- Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready electronic records
- Monitor client- and state-specific onboarding requirements
- Confirm employees have satisfied all applicable requirements before being cleared to begin work
- Assist with testing new workflows, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in onboarding, HR administration, staffing, recruiting operations, compliance, or a related field preferred
- Experience supporting a high-volume staffing or multi-state workforce strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Form I-9 and employment eligibility requirements preferred
- Experience coordinating background checks and drug screenings preferred
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn HR, ATS, onboarding, and screening platforms
- Comfort working with automated workflows, dashboards, reports, and exception queues
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
