Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Youth Activities Manager to oversee daily operations of Youth spaces aboard Disney Cruise Line vessels. You will lead the Youth Activities Staff, maintain safety standards, and ensure high-quality programs for guests, families, and crew.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, performance reviews, budget adherence, and partnership with other departments to deliver magical onboard experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years recent experience in a high-volume child care operation in a recreational, camp or leisure setting.
• Minimum three years of current or previous management experience leading and motivating a large team.
• Degree in related field preferred.
• Proven experience leading a team.
• Exceptional Guest service skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Must be receptive to CPR training while employed with DCL.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and handle the daily operation, Guest and Crew experience aspects for all Youth spaces.
• Lead the Youth Activities team for venues (It’s A Small World Nursery, Oceaneer’s Club/Lab, Edge, Vibe, Castaway Cay).
• Provide leadership for all direct reports including schedules and personnel files.
• Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure Project Onboard compliance and monitor STAR; implement corrections.
• Oversee onboard training and new hire onboarding.
• Succession planning and crew recognition/communication.
• Operate within budget guidelines and inventory control.
• Resolve Guest complaints or issues.
• Monitor and observe Youth Programs for Disney show quality.
