Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Wastewater Systems Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and remote monitoring of wastewater treatment and potable water systems across our US-flag fleet. You will conduct monthly inspections, perform water quality sampling, and develop SOPs and training materials for shipboard crews.

Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial and commercial wastewater treatment systems.
  • Experience complying with FDA and EPA regulations.
  • Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operation of wastewater treatment systems and potable water systems onboard ships.
  • Coordinate all sampling for regulatory compliance and to aid in system troubleshooting.
  • Monitor systems remotely and prevent unscheduled shore-side pump outs.
  • Develop SOPs, operation placards, maintenance manuals and provide onboard training to ship crews.
  • Travel to conduct monthly on-site inspections onboard the ships and may perform maintenance and training.
  • Assist with vessel compliance with USCG, USPH, FDA, EPA, etc.
  • Maintain maintenance and repair logs and manage spare parts inventory.
