Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Wastewater Systems Engineer to manage wastewater and potable water systems aboard a fleet of US-Flag cruise ships. You will supervise day-to-day operations, remote monitoring, sampling for regulatory needs, and maintenance programmes, while developing SOPs and training shipboard crew.

The role requires travel for monthly on-site inspections and on-call support to keep the fleet on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting wastewater treatment systems.
• Experience complying with FDA and EPA regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication (English).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation of wastewater treatment systems.
• Operates USCG-approved treatment and sanitation systems.
• Coordinates sampling for regulatory compliance and troubleshooting.
• Monitors systems remotely.
• Provides training onboard ships to crew.
• Develops SOPs and maintenance manuals for water systems.
• Supports vessel compliance with USCG, USPH, FDA, EPA, etc.
• Completes onsite inspections and prepares sampling data reports.
