Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Wastewater Systems Engineer to oversee onboard wastewater treatment and potable water systems across our US-Flag fleet. You will manage daily operations, remote monitoring, sampling, and maintenance while developing SOPs and training shipboard crews.

The role involves monthly on-site inspections, travel, and on-call response to minimize downtime, coordinating with ship engineers and the Water Fleet Manager to ensure safe, compliant water systems and regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial and commercial wastewater treatment systems (fixed media, membrane bioreactor).
• Experience complying with FDA and EPA regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication (English).

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation of wastewater treatment systems.
• Operates marine wastewater systems (USCG approved).
• Coordinates sampling for regulatory compliance and troubleshooting.
• Monitors systems remotely and ensures proper operation to prevent downtime.
• Manages potable water system operation and chlorination.
