Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking an on-board Server in San Diego, CA to deliver hospitality excellence aboard our vessels. You will greet guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and ensure safety and cleanliness across service areas while representing RESPECT values.

The role requires staying station-ready, handling payments, providing menu information, and assisting with guest seating and entertainment experiences. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift items as needed.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in RESPECT.
• Greet guests and serve food and beverages in a timely fashion.
• Accurately take orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations.
• Participate in the celebration and entertainment experience of the guest.
• Set up and break down dining room and service stations; move dining cabin furniture.
• Accurately collect payment from guests for on-board purchases.
• Provide information to guests including menu descriptions and cruise details.
• Be prepared to begin work at the scheduled time and maintain grooming standards.
• Assist with greeting and seating guests; perform additional duties as assigned.
