Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Lead Line Cook to join our shipboard team for the 2026 season aboard America’s rivers. You will assist the Executive/Sous Chef with breakfast, lunch, and dinner production, ensuring high-quality presentation and adherence to menus and dietary requirements.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years in full-service dining, strong English communication, and the ability to lead a small galley crew while living onboard for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in line cooking for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Strong English verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage a small galley team.
• Willingness to travel and flexible schedule.
• US Coast Guard drug test and TWIC credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and service all menu items in the galley.
• Follow menus, recipes, and sanitation standards.
• Manage daily galley operations and inventory.
• Lead galley stewards and coordinate with chefs.
• Ensure guest and crew satisfaction with high-quality meals.
• Maintain logs and safety compliance.
