Job summary

General Dynamics – Bath Iron Works seeks a Sr. Engineer, Fleet Services to ensure safety, quality and performance standards while coordinating with stakeholders to meet milestones. You will plan, coordinate and supervise repairs in hull, mechanical and electrical areas aboard ships.

As onboard/onsite Fleet Service representative you’ll travel and be on-call 24/7, providing rapid response for shipboard issues. US citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Marine Engineering or fleet lifecycle support experience.
• Experience with DDG-51 class destroyers preferred.
• Ability to obtain government security clearance within 45 days.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety leadership and compliance with regulations.
• Manage subcontractors to execute repairs safely.
• Coordinate with ships force to resolve issues and keep stakeholders informed.
• Provide office support when not onboard.
