Job summary

Holland America Princess is seeking an Onboard Manager to lead the Guest Services team on our rail service. The role focuses on safety, guest services, and food & beverage while supporting the crew. Expect to wear many hats and set a professional example.

You will supervise and train onboard staff, enhance guest experiences, and ensure operations run smoothly on route. Requires 3+ years supervisory experience in F&B, Alaska alcohol knowledge, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in a supervisory position - food and beverage experience preferred.
• Minimum age of 21 years is required to serve alcohol in Alaska.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; company cannot sponsor visas at this time.

Responsibilities

• Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, objectives, and applicable government laws and regulations.
• Supervise, train, coach, and support all onboard crewmembers.
• Have an active role in enhancing guests' experience.
• Manage guest services, food and beverage, and mechanical operations while in route.
• Aid in the timeliness of all aspects related to meal services.
• Retrieve all locked-back stock retail items for sales made by onboard employees.
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment for guests and crewmembers.
• Help maintain policies and procedures including those related to company housing.
• Lead crew by example both on and off the clock.
