RailPros seeks a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to protect on and around live railroad tracks, coordinating job sites and dispatch communications with on-track safety responsibilities in controlled and non-controlled areas.

Responsibilities include leading job briefings, complying with railroad rules, and preparing electronic forms for flagging and reports. The role requires travel across multiple states and active communication with supervisors.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 20 years of experience in track inspection supervision or RWIC role with a Class I/II railroad.
• Ability to travel frequently, including overnights.
• Proficiency in RWIC/EIC radio procedures and safety training.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide jobsite protection on each assignment per rules; radio comms with dispatchers/engineers.
• Ensure work groups are clear of limits during train movements and grant train access when safe.
• Lead daily job briefings and ensure adherence to railroad safety requirements.
• Prepare electronic forms for flagging, daily reports, invoices, and other required docs.
• Place signs, derailments and equipment; manage related tools on site.
