Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator 1 for field-based work operating and maintaining railway maintenance and inspection equipment.

The MO1 may work on Loram’s on-track equipment and vehicles with supervision, rotating across platforms as needed. Internal experience is valued; external candidates should possess strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and machine operation skills, and be prepared for pre-employment and background checks.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused work habits required for field operations.
• Experience in 24/7 environments preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for field reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead job briefings during operations and maintenance shifts.
• Inspect machines and report defects to maintenance leads.
• Record parts used and complete daily field reports and expenses.
• Operate and maintain Loram equipment in varying platforms as assigned.
