Job summary

Columbia Forest Products seeks a Loading Operations Supervisor to manage daily activities across Repairs, Kiln, and Loading areas. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency on the production floor, coaching staff and coordinating with dispatch and other departments.

The role requires strong leadership, solid understanding of forklift and kiln processes, and the ability to maintain a high level of organization during shift transitions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing.
• Forklift operations knowledge and safety.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lead by example with floor presence and accountability.
• Willingness to work overtime in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Repairs, Kiln, and Loading areas to meet safety, quality, and production standards.
• Provide clear direction at shift start and maintain accountability.
• Monitor performance, coach as needed, and escalate concerns to management.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Be on the floor before shifts, supervise break times, and ensure proper setups.
• Maintain organized areas and enforce housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with Dispatch and Forklift Operators to manage inventory and loading.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA) and proper PPE usage.
• Communicate shift performance and next-shift instructions clearly.
