Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks a full-time Wellness Coach to work on-site at a corporate client in Greensboro, NC. You will build coaching relationships and guide participants toward healthier habits through education, support and motivation.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a health field, coaching certification, and 2+ years in corporate wellness. You will track outcomes and collaborate with the Optum team to connect members with relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in fitness, health promotion, counseling, or related field.
• Coaching certification from Wellcoaches or another nationally recognized coaching organization preferred and ideally required.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a wellness coach in a corporate setting preferred.
• Understanding and proven experience in health management: prevention, screening, behavior modification, and disease management modalities.
• Experience with metric management and reporting.
• Strong written, verbal, digital communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with team members using motivational interviewing to coach them toward healthier lifestyle changes.
• Network, engage and interact with clients, employees and participants.
• Establish ongoing relationships and help setSMART goals with implementation plans.
• Meet with team members to review progress and provide guidance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of coaching progress for reporting and incentives.
• Provide detailed reports on outcomes and aggregate data as requested.
• Be familiar with client benefit packages and make referrals as needed.
• Assist in collecting biometric data to measure progress.
• Refer to key wellness programs and work with Optum team for support.
