Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Water Process Engineer to support ultrapure water systems in our Austin fab. You will lead UPW projects, coordinate with operations, and drive process improvements for safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in engineering and 6+ years of water-treatment experience, with deep knowledge of UPW technologies and strong collaboration skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Process or Industrial Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in an Engineering environment, preferably in Design or Operations.
• Working knowledge of general water treatment technologies and/or processes.
• Advanced knowledge of ultrapure water treatment systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete project management of multiple projects across the UPW systems.
• Participates and leads commissioning activities and provides subject matter expertise to contractors and the internal team.
• Monitor daily trends, perform equipment inspections, and coordinate with OPS regarding work orders and improvements.
• Support plant operations with process improvements and knowledge transfer.
• Own the entire system scope and projects, with accountability for outcomes.
• Troubleshoot UPW system issues and baseline shifts as needed.
• Research and develop new technologies to improve UPW quality and reliability.
• Support instrumentation, maintenance, and operations in day-to-day tasks.
• Mentor less experienced engineers to develop skills and careers.
• Lead cross-functional task forces to drive efficiency and practices.
