Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Taylor, Texas seeks an UPW-IWT Project Engineer to own the water and wastewater utilities projects, lead startup and retrofit initiatives, and guide external designers and contractors. The role emphasizes safety, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering high-quality utility infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in engineering with semiconductor fab exposure; a PE license and PMP are pluses, with a base salary in the market range and a strong total

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Process or Industrial Engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience in an Engineering environment, preferably in Design or Operations.
• Semiconductor fab experience preferred.
• Minimum 4 years chemical/mechanical design and project experience in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the UPW-IWT WTR system as a single team, ensuring safety and reliability.
• Research, develop, test and implement innovative upgrades to improve system quality, reliability or safety.
• Update process requirements, technologies, and operating procedures for UPW-IWT systems.
• Maintain transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders on quality, safety and cost issues.
• Lead and execute critical projects supporting operations and process improvements.
• Manage site Consultant Design Team to review SAS Mechanical specs and design packages; coordinate Construction General Contractor activities.
• Help develop and maintain overall project management systems and processes.
