MBP (McDonough Bolyard Peck) is seeking a NCDOT Transportation Inspector (Levels 1 & 2) to support roadway and structure construction projects in Asheville. You will monitor conformance with plans, contracts, and codes on-site and coordinate with agency and contractor personnel.

The role offers growth from entry-level inspection to lead project inspection, with opportunities to train junior inspectors, prepare diaries, monthly estimates, and maintain project documentation.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• OSHA 10/30 certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Basic mathematics for field measurements and calculations.
• Construction-related training or coursework in road/bridge work.

Aufgaben

• Provide on-site inspection and QA of roadway and structure construction.
• Perform required materials testing and field measurements.
• Prepare and maintain project records and daily diaries.
• Coordinate with agency and contractor personnel and log observations.
• Develop monthly project estimates and sketches with calculations.
• Assist in training and supervising junior inspectors.
• Ensure traffic control setups meet standards.
• Use client project management software to track materials and tests.
