Job summary

MBP is seeking a full-time NCDOT Transportation Construction Inspector (Levels 1 & 2) to monitor roadway and structure construction for conformance with plans and specifications. This role includes overseeing project documentation and supporting the development of junior inspectors.

The ideal candidate will have construction inspection experience and be proficient in communication and documentation. Work locations include Boone and various regions in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Construction work experience with understanding of construction means and methods.
• Experience may be in federal, municipal, transportation, ports, or marina projects.
• Basic mathematics including algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric computations based on field measurements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor roadway and structure construction for conformance to plans.
• Prepare and maintain project records, including daily diaries.
• Perform required materials testing and basic surveying.
