MBP (McDonough Bolyard Peck) is seeking NCDOT Transportation Inspectors (Levels 3 & 4) to support roadway and structure construction projects. On-site roles require monitoring work, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with agency and contractor teams.

Senior inspectors will guide junior technicians and oversee daily records and monthly estimates. The position emphasizes independent judgment, field testing, training, and adherence to standards, with career progression from entry to lead

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Basic mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry based on field measurements.
• Construction training/education in road/bridge/civil concepts or related experience.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in construction.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor roadway and structure construction for conformance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Perform materials testing and basic surveying.
• Prepare and maintain project records and monthly estimates.
• Use client project management software to log materials and tests.
• Assist in training and scheduling of inspectors.
• Provide professional communication with agency, contractor, MBP personnel.
