Job summary

ATCS is expanding its Construction Services group in Pennsylvania, seeking individuals with PA construction management and inspection experience for our Harrisburg area team. Open to Inspectors, Trainees, Senior Inspectors with opportunities across multiple levels and locations in and around Harrisburg, PA.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates with Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or related degrees will be considered.
• 2+ years' experience in construction, civil engineering, project management, or materials inspection
• Knowledgeable in PennDOT Road & Bridges specifications and standards
• Knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry and trigonometry
• Skill in field engineering and testing equipment, inspection methods and materials
• Possession of or ability to obtain required certifications within 12 months of employment and maintain PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification; NICET Level 2-4; OSHA 10 Hour; PennDOT NECEPT; ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician; PennDOT Flagger Training or equivalent
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Proficient in Site Manager, or other project management software

Responsibilities

• Perform transportation construction inspections on Highway, Bridges, Environmental, Traffic, and Facilities type projects.
• Write daily progress reports.
• Oversight of contractor work crews to ensure compliance with contract documents and safe construction practices.
• Perform field tests on materials (concrete slump/air, soil compaction, and HMA).
• Complete documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustments.
• Report on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer with pay quantity determinations.
