Job summary

MBP is seeking an on-site Construction Compliance Inspector for transportation projects. You will inspect work for conformance to plans, maintain daily diaries, and manage material testing documentation. Role involves communication with clients and contractors, and ensuring proper traffic control and safety standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, OSHA certification, and basic math proficiency. Valid driver's license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10- or OSHA 30-hour certification (within 3 months of hire).
• Basic math skills: algebra, geometry, trigonometry from field measurements.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site compliance inspection, QA, and progress monitoring for conformance to plans, specs, and codes.
• Maintains project records including daily diaries with calculations and sketches.
• Checks materials and documents; sends samples for verification when required.
• Assists with review of payment applications, final inspections, and punch lists.
• Communicates with client, contractor, traveling public, and MBP team members.
• Ensures highway work zones and traffic control meet current standards.
• Performs basic to moderate field tasks including testing and surveying.
• Completes daily timesheets and monthly expense/mileage reports.
